Small presence but strong Pacific voices from key prominent delegates attending the 10th ICAAP

(Busan, Korea) Delegates from Samoa (Fa'afafine), Tonga (Fakaleiti), Fiji (Vakasalewalewa) and Papua New Guinea (Palopa) communities presented on a wide range of issues orally and in poster form such as issues focused on HIV/AIDS, access to health services, epidemidology, anti-retroviral therapies, improvement for care and support of people living with HIV/AIDS in their respective communities, It also highlighted key issues for marginalised groups such as MSM, Transgender, Sex workers, Injecting Drug users and young people.
PSDN salutes the valuable contribution of the following champions, President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau and Merewalasi Nailatikau of Fiji, Dame Carol Kidu of Papua New Guinea, Misa Telefoni of Samoa who were all inspirational and exemplified the true meaning and leadership for pacific delegates in the HIV/AIDS response in the Pacific.
PSDN would like to acknowledge the organising committee of the conference and the 7sisters Coalition for logistics and making it possible for the small pacific contingency whom attended.
PSDN would like to emphasize to the next organizing committee for ICAAP 2013, Bangkok that the involvement for Pacific representation on all levels of planning is most crucial to the voice of the pacific people's and the need for more pacific inclusiveness.
PSDN would like to acknowledge the interaction and networking with partners in particular, Paul Jansen - HIVOS, Phylesha Brown-Acton and Simon Harger-Forde - The New Zealand AIDS Foundation who have supported PSDN during their participation at this conference and with its current infrastructure and work programmes.
PSDN would like to acknowledge it's building of stronger foundations and relationships with the APCOM board, Justine Sass - UNESCO, Edmund Settle - UNDP and Geoffrey Manfrey - UNAIDS, Kent Klindera - amfAR for the ongoing beneficial relationship with the regional network
PSDN Would like to thank all Pacific delegates for their true pacific spirit of coming together during this conference which was marked by a special farewell performance to conclude their participation.
